High Performance Vertical Pressure Leaf Filter for Industrial Filtration Needs

Working Principle

The vertical pressure leaf filter operates by pumping filtrate into the tank through the liquid inlet pipe. Under pressure, solid impurities are intercepted by the filter screen, forming a filter cake while clear filtrate passes through the screen into the outlet pipe. As filtration continues, the filter cake thickness increases, raising internal pressure. When pressure reaches approximately 0.4MPa, filtration stops and compressed air is introduced to dry the filter cake. The vibrator then shakes off the dried cake for discharge through the slag outlet.

Filter Slag Discharge Process

As filtration volume increases and filter cake thickens, pressure rises within the tank. When the pressure gauge indicates 0.4MPa, the bleaching earth mixture feed is stopped. Compressed air is then introduced through the overflow port, pressing residual oil from the filter cake back to the decolorizing pot. After approximately 30 minutes of drying, air input ceases. When pressure returns to zero, the butterfly valve opens and the vibrator activates to discharge the slag, completing the filtration cycle.
