Working Principle - 2-Phase Separation

The feed suspension is introduced through an inlet pipe into the feed zone where it is accelerated into the bowl interior. Settled solids are conveyed axially by the screw conveyor, which rotates at a slightly different speed than the bowl. Solids are lifted out of the pond along the dry beach and discharged through ports into the casing collection chamber. The liquid phase flows toward the large end of the bowl and overflows adjustable plate dams into the centrate chamber for discharge.

Working Principle - 3-Phase Separation

The light liquid phase discharges through radial holes in the large end hub, while the heavy liquid phase discharges through axial holes. Liquid levels are controlled by plate dams, with a separating plate preventing mixing of phases. Solids are discharged normally through established processes.

Material Construction

Bowl, conveyor, inlet tube, outlets, cover and other process-contact components are manufactured from stainless steel. Discharge ports, conveyor flights and feed zones feature erosion-resistant materials. The frame is constructed from mild steel with epoxy enamel finish.

Drive System Configurations

One Motor Drive

Simple, cost-effective design ideal for constant solids volume applications with minimal requirements for residual water content. Differential speed generated as function of bowl speed and gear transmission, easily adjustable via belt pulley replacement.

Two Motor Drive

Enables cost-effective differential speed regulation under varying operating conditions. Secondary motor sets input shaft in motion, generating differential speed that can be regulated by motor speed adjustment. Suitable for fluctuating solids volumes and stringent residual water requirements.

Hydro Drive

Similar functionality to two motor drive but utilizes rotating hydromotor supplied by hydraulic regulation pump unit. Enables automatic regulation through proportional oil conveyance control.
