Both separators and decanters have been used for fish oil and fish meal processing for over 100 years. Standard Equipment

The decanter centrifuge includes a motor control center panel to operate the main drive, back drive, and feed pump. A differential speed controller maintains optimal solids balance in the decanter during operation. All parts exposed to wear are protected by special metal hard facing, ceramic wear bushes, inserts, etc. Bushes and inserts are easily exchangeable, even under field conditions. Maintenance tools and spare parts are supplied.

Operating Principle

The horizontal screw discharge sedimentation centrifuge performs continuous separation of materials with density differences in suspensions using centrifugal sedimentation principle. The bowl and feeding screw rotate at high speed with a differential speed between them. Materials are introduced through the feed tube into the inner cylinder, then enter the bowl after acceleration. Under centrifugal force, heavier solids deposit on the bowl walls forming residue layers. The spiral material pusher continuously pushes deposited solids to the taper end for discharge after dehydration. The machine enables continuous feeding, sedimentation, separation, washing and discharging during full-speed operation.

This equipment features compact structure, continuous operation, stable production capacity, and convenient maintenance. It is suitable for separating suspensions containing solids with particle diameters greater than 0.005mm and concentration ranging 2-40%. Widely applied in chemical, light industry, medical, food, and environmental protection industries.

Three-Phase Working Principle

The bowl and screw rotate at high speed with differential speed. Materials enter the bowl through the feed tube. Under centrifugal force, high specific weight liquid accumulates on the inner walls and discharges through centripetal pump or overflow plate. Low specific weight liquids form an inner liquid ring, stick to heavy liquid surfaces, and discharge from the overflow channel. Solids are continuously pushed to the taper end by the spiral material pusher and discharged after drying.

Two-Phase Working Principle

Suspensions enter the spiral material pusher cavity through the feed tube, then enter the bowl cavity through material vent. Sedimented solids move to the small end of the bowl under pushing action at differential speed, discharging from the solid discharge port. Liquids form a hollow liquid ring under centrifugal force, moving to the large end of the bowl. After running over the adjustable overflow baffle, they discharge from the liquid outlet under gravity.
