Working Principle

The vertical pressure leaf filter operates by pumping filtrate into the tank through the liquid inlet pipe. Under pressure, solid impurities are intercepted by the filter, forming a filter cake while clear filtrate passes through the filter screen and exits through the outlet pipe. As filtration continues, the filter cake thickness increases, raising internal pressure. When pressure reaches a set value, filtration stops and compressed air is introduced to dry the filter cake before vibration dislodges it through the discharge port.

Filter Slag Discharge Process

As filtration volume increases and filter cake thickens, resistance rises until pressure reaches 0.4Mpa. At this point, feed is stopped and air compression begins, forcing remaining oil from the filter cake back to the decolorizing pot. After 30 minutes of pressing, when the filter cake is dry and pressure returns to zero, the butterfly valve opens and vibration begins for slag discharge. Once complete, all valves close to prepare for the next filtration cycle.
