Centrifugal Separation Technology

The disc stack separator efficiently separates solids and one or two liquid phases in a continuous process using extremely high centrifugal forces. Denser solids are forced outward against the rotating bowl wall while less dense liquid phases form concentric inner layers. The interface position between phases can be adjusted for maximum separation efficiency. The specialized disc stack plates dramatically accelerate separation by providing additional surface settling area, enabling continuous separation of various solids from liquids.

2-Phase Separation Process

Separation occurs inside a rotating bowl where feed material enters via a stationary inlet pipe. After acceleration in the distributor, the material enters the disc stack where liquid-solid separation takes place. The liquid phase moves through the disc stack to the center and is pumped out via a built-in paring disc. Solids collect in the periphery and are discharged intermittently through a hydraulic system that opens solids ports at predetermined intervals.

3-Phase Separation Process

In three-phase separation, the suspension enters the separator bowl through a feeding pipe into the disc stack. The heavy phase and sludge move toward the bowl periphery while the light phase flows toward the center for pumping and further processing. Solids collect in the sludge space and discharge intermittently via a hydraulic system that opens solids ports, with collected solids exiting through a cyclone.
