Centrifugal Separation Technology

The disc stack separator efficiently separates solids and one or two liquid phases in a single continuous process using extremely high centrifugal forces. Denser solids are forced outward against the rotating bowl wall, while less dense liquid phases form concentric inner layers. The interface position between liquid phases can be adjusted to ensure maximum separation efficiency. Special plates in the disc stack provide additional surface area, dramatically accelerating the separation process.

2-Phase Separation Disc Stack Centrifuge

Process Flow: 1 Feed → 2 Discharge → 3 Inlet tube → 4 Disc stack → 5 Solids holding space → 6 Centripetal pump chamber → 7 Centripetal pump

Separation occurs inside a rotating bowl where feed is introduced via a stationary inlet pipe. The distributor ensures smooth acceleration before entering the disc stack. Liquid phases move through the disc stack to the center and are pumped out via a built-in paring disc, while solids collect in the periphery and discharge intermittently through a hydraulic system.

3-Phase Separation Disc Stack Centrifuge

Components: 1 Inlet tube → 2 Central bore → 3 Distributor → 4 Distributor bore → 5 Rising channels → 6 Light phase centripetal pump → 7 Heavy phase centripetal pump

Suspension enters the separator bowl through a feeding pipe into the disc stack. Heavy phase and sludge move toward the bowl periphery while light phase flows toward the center. Both phases are pumped out separately, with solids discharged intermittently via hydraulic system and collected via cyclone.

Self-cleaning disc stack centrifuges are available as purifiers (solids and two liquid phases) or clarifiers (solids and one liquid phase).
