Centrifugal Separation Technology

The disc stack separator efficiently separates solids and one or two liquid phases in a single continuous process using high centrifugal forces. Denser solids are forced outward against the rotating bowl wall while less dense liquid phases form concentric inner layers. The interface position between phases can be adjusted for maximum separation efficiency. The specialized disc stack plates dramatically accelerate the separation process by providing additional surface settling area.

2-Phase Separation Process

Process Flow:
1. Feed introduction via stationary inlet pipe
2. Acceleration in distributor
3. Separation between disc stack
4. Liquid phase moves to center and pumped out
5. Solids collected in periphery and discharged intermittently
6. Hydraulic system controls solids discharge at preset intervals

3-Phase Separation Process

Process Flow:
1. Suspension fed through feeding pipe
2. Heavy phase and sludge forced to bowl periphery
3. Light phase flows toward center for pumping
4. Heavy phase led to chamber and pumped out
5. Solids collected and discharged automatically
6. Hydraulic system controls intermittent discharge

Self-cleaning disc stack centrifuges are available as purifiers (solids and two liquid phases) or clarifiers (solids and one liquid phase).
