Centrifugal Separation Technology
The disc stack separator separates solids and one or two liquid phases from each other in one single continuous process using extremely high centrifugal forces. Denser solids are forced outward against the rotating bowl wall, while less dense liquid phases form concentric inner layers. The interface position between liquid phases can be adjusted to ensure maximum separation efficiency. Special plates in the disc stack provide additional surface settling area, dramatically speeding up the separation process.
2-Phase Separation Process
Separation occurs inside a rotating bowl where feed is introduced from the top via a stationary inlet pipe. The liquid phase moves through the disc stack to the center and is pumped out, while solids collect in the periphery and are discharged intermittently through a hydraulic system that opens solids ports at preset intervals.
3-Phase Separation Process
In three-phase separation, the suspension enters the disc stack with heavy phase and sludge moving toward the bowl periphery while light phase flows toward the center. Both phases are pumped out separately, and solids are discharged intermittently through automated hydraulic systems.
