Centrifugal Separation Technology

The disc stack separator separates solids and one or two liquid phases from each other in one single continuous process using extremely high centrifugal forces. When denser solids are subjected to these forces, they are forced outwards against the rotating bowl wall, while less dense liquid phases form concentric inner layers.

The interface position where these liquid phases meet can be easily varied to ensure maximum separation efficiency. The disc stack configuration provides additional surface settling area, dramatically speeding up the separation process and enabling continuous separation of various solids from liquids.

2-Phase Separation Disc Stack Centrifuge

Separation occurs inside a rotating bowl where feed is introduced via a stationary inlet pipe. The distributor ensures smooth acceleration before entering the disc stack. Liquid moves through the disc stack to the center and is pumped out, while solids collect in the periphery and discharge intermittently through a hydraulic system.

3-Phase Separation Disc Stack Centrifuge

Suspension enters the separator bowl through a feeding pipe into the disc stack. Heavy phase and sludge move toward the bowl periphery while light phase flows toward the center. Both phases are pumped out separately, with solids collecting in the sludge space and discharging intermittently via hydraulic system.
