Centrifugal Separation Technology

The disc stack separator efficiently separates solids and liquid phases in a continuous process using high centrifugal forces. Denser solids are forced outward against the rotating bowl wall while lighter liquid phases form concentric inner layers. The interface position between phases is adjustable for maximum separation efficiency. Special disc plates provide additional settling surface area, dramatically accelerating the separation process.

2-Phase Separation Process

Process Flow: 1 Feed → 2 Discharge → 3 Inlet tube → 4 Disc stack → 5 Solids holding space → 6 Centripetal pump chamber → 7 Centripetal pump

Separation occurs inside a rotating bowl where feed enters via stationary inlet pipe and accelerates through the distributor into the disc stack. Liquid-solid separation happens between discs, with liquid moving to the center and pumped out via paring disc. Solids collect in the periphery and discharge intermittently through hydraulic system operation.

3-Phase Separation Process

Components: 1 Inlet tube → 2 Central bore → 3 Distributor → 4 Distributor bore → 5 Rising channels → 6 Light phase centripetal pump → 7 Heavy phase centripetal pump

Suspension enters the separator bowl through feeding pipe into the disc stack. Heavy phase and sludge move toward bowl periphery while light phase flows toward center for pumping. Heavy phase is directed over top disc into chamber for pumping. Solids collect in sludge space and discharge automatically via hydraulic system.
