Innovative Solid Bowl Decanter Centrifuge

Wide-Ranging Performance

Our decanter centrifuges deliver exceptional performance for separating solids from liquids, enabling continuous, efficient, and controllable operation. They handle solid particles ranging from 5mm down to a few microns and can process slurries with solid content from 0.1% w/w to over 65% w/w.

Working Principle

The feed suspension enters through an inlet pipe into the feed zone where it's accelerated into the bowl interior. Settled solids are conveyed axially by the screw conveyor rotating at a slightly different speed than the bowl. Solids are lifted out of the pond along the dry beach and discharged through ports into the casing collection chamber, while the liquid phase flows toward the large end of the bowl and overflows adjustable plate dams.

The light liquid phase discharges through radial holes in the large end hub, while the heavy liquid phase discharges through axial holes. A separating plate prevents mixing, and liquid levels are controlled by plate dams. Solids discharge normally through standard processes.

Materials

Bowl, conveyor, inlet tube, outlets, cover, and all process-contact components are constructed from stainless steel. Discharge ports, conveyor flights, and feed zones feature erosion-resistant materials. The frame uses mild steel with epoxy enamel finish.

Huading Separator provides comprehensive wear protection solutions including:

Design

The rotating assembly mounts on a compact, in-line frame with main bearings at both ends. Vibration dampers support the frame, and the rotating components are enclosed in a casing with integrated solids and liquid outlets.

Drive System Options

One Motor Drive

Simple, cost-effective design ideal for applications with constant solids volume, easy conveying, and moderate residual water content requirements. Differential speed functions as a result of bowl speed and gear transmission.

Two Motor Drive

Enables cost-effective differential speed regulation across wide ranges. Ideal for fluctuating solids volumes, difficult conveying conditions, and stringent residual water content requirements.

Hydro Drive

Similar to two motor drive but uses a rotating hydromotor with hydraulic regulation. Enables automatic regulation as differential speed correlates with oil conveyance quantity.
