Horizontal Decanter Centrifuge for Solid-Liquid Separation

Automatic screw sedimentation discharging system for continuous solid-liquid separation processes.

Standard Equipment

The decanter centrifuge includes a motor control center panel to operate the main drive, back drive, and feed pump. A differential speed controller maintains optimal solids balance during operation. All wear-exposed parts are protected by special metal hard facing, ceramic wear bushes, and inserts that are easily exchangeable even under field conditions. Maintenance tools and spare parts are supplied.

Working Principle

The horizontal screw discharge sedimentation centrifuge performs continuous separation of materials with density differences in suspensions using centrifugal sedimentation. The bowl and feeding screw rotate at high speeds with differential speeds between them. Materials enter through the feed tube, accelerate, and enter the bowl where centrifugal force causes heavier solids to deposit on the bowl walls. The spiral pusher continuously moves deposited solids to the taper end for discharge after dehydration.

Three-Phase Working Principle

During high-speed rotation with differential speeds, materials enter the bowl where centrifugal force separates liquids by specific weight. Heavy liquids accumulate on bowl walls and discharge through centripetal pump or overflow plate, while light liquids form an inner ring and discharge through overflow channels. Solids are continuously pushed to the taper end for discharge.

Two-Phase Working Principle

Suspensions enter the bowl cavity through the feed tube. Solids sediment and move to the bowl's small end under screw differential speed, discharging from the solid port. Liquids form a hollow ring moving to the large end, overflowing the adjustable baffle and discharging by gravity.
