Key Features

The rotating assembly of these decanter tricanter centrifuges is mounted on a compact, in-line frame with main bearings at both ends. Vibration dampers are positioned under the frame, and the rotating components are enclosed within a protective casing featuring integrated outlets for both solids and liquid separation.

Working Principle

2-Phase Separation Process

1. Feed
2. Liquid phase

The feed suspension enters through an inlet pipe into the conveyor's feed zone, where it accelerates and directs into the bowl interior. Settled solids are conveyed axially toward the small end of the bowl by the screw conveyor, which rotates at a differential speed. Solids are lifted from the pond along the dry beach and discharged through ports into the casing collection chamber. The liquid phase forms a hollow cylinder due to centrifugal force and flows toward the large end, overflowing adjustable plate dams into the centrate chamber for discharge.

The light liquid phase discharges through radial holes in the large end hub, while the heavy liquid phase exits through axial holes. Liquid levels are controlled by plate dams, with a separating plate preventing light liquid from mixing with heavy liquid discharge. Solids are discharged conventionally through established processes.

Construction Materials

The bowl, conveyor, inlet tube, outlets, cover, and all process-contact components are constructed from stainless steel. Discharge ports, conveyor flights, and feed zones feature erosion-resistant protective materials. The frame utilizes mild steel with durable epoxy enamel finish.

Drive System Configurations

One Motor Drive

Simple, cost-effective design ideal for applications with constant solids volume, easy conveyance, and moderate residual water content requirements. Features belt-driven input shaft with easily replaceable pulleys for speed adjustment.

Two Motor Drive

Enables cost-effective differential speed regulation across wide ranges. Secondary motor drives gear input shaft, allowing easy speed adjustment via motor control. Suitable for fluctuating solids volumes, difficult conveyance conditions, and stringent residual water requirements.

Hydro Drive

Similar functionality to two motor drive but utilizes rotating hydromotor with hydraulic regulation from pump unit. Enables automatic regulation through proportional oil quantity control.
