The LW490 plastic recycling wash water sludge dewatering decanter centrifuge is a workhorse for plastic recycling plants that wash PET bottles, HDPE containers and mixed post consumer plastics. Washing generates a turbid water stream loaded with paper labels, sand, dirt, adhesive residue and fine plastic particles. If this water is not treated, it quickly degrades the washing process, increases fresh water consumption and creates a sludge disposal problem. The LW490 dewaters this wash water continuously, removing suspended solids so that the water can be recycled back to the washing line and the solids can be disposed of as a dry cake instead of a costly wet slurry.

Plastic recycling plants operate with thin profit margins, so water treatment equipment must pay for itself through reduced water bills, lower chemical use and less waste disposal.
