Product Description

In a soy milk plant the okara stream is where money quietly disappears. Every percent of moisture left in the discharged pulp is soy solids that were paid for, extracted, and then thrown away with the waste. Grinding and screw pressing typically leave okara at 75 to 82 percent moisture, which means the plant is discarding a significant fraction of its raw material, and paying to transport and dispose of water at the same time.

The LWS400 decanter centrifuge attacks that loss directly. Its 400 mm bowl runs at 4,200 rpm and generates 3,950 G, enough to press the pulp against the bowl wall and convey it along a long beach before discharge. In routine operation on standard soy milk pulp the machine delivers okara at 52 to 58 percent moisture, a clear improvement over press performance, and it does so continuously at 8 to 12 tonnes per hour of feed with no batch cycle and no operator intervention.

Key Features
  • Low Moisture Discharge: A long conical beach and a high centrifugal force combine to press okara down to 52 to 58 percent moisture, recovering solids that a screw press leaves in the waste stream
  • Continuous Dewatering: The scroll moves pulp along the bowl without interruption, so the machine matches a grinder and a continuous cooker instead of forcing the line into a batch rhythm
  • Adjustable Beach Angle: The beach geometry can be specified for maximum dryness or maximum capacity, letting the plant choose between yield and throughput on the same model
  • Gentle Solids Conveyance: Low differential speed reduces shear on the pulp, keeping the okara coherent so the discharged cake handles cleanly on a conveyor instead of smearing
  • Sanitary Construction: The bowl, scroll and all product-contact parts are AISI 304 or 316L stainless steel with a polished finish, and the frame is fully enclosed for washdown environments
  • Low Maintenance Drive: A single main motor plus a compact back drive replace the gearbox arrangement found on older decanters, cutting oil changes and spare-part inventory

Applications

The LWS400 is installed in tofu plants, soy milk beverage factories and soy protein concentrate lines where pulp is separated from the slurry before cooking or after grinding. It is equally at home in a traditional wet-milling process and in a modern continuous line with a tubular or plate heat exchanger downstream.

Secondary uses include dewatering of okara that will be dried and sold as a fiber-rich food ingredient, where lower inlet moisture translates directly into lower drying energy per tonne, and pretreatment of pulp in plants producing soy-based fermented products, where residual sugars must be removed before the fermentation stage. In all of these duties the same characteristic applies: the machine removes water mechanically, so thermal load and effluent load both fall.

Packaging & Quality Assurance

Machines are shipped in a steel-framed case with the bowl on transport supports, VCI film protection, and a spare-parts box containing gaskets, a bearing temperature sensor and one set of scroll tiles. Documentation is supplied in English as standard, with Chinese, Spanish and Russian versions available.

Each unit is hydrostatically tested, dynamically balanced, and run for four hours on water plus two hours on soy pulp. The acceptance report records vibration amplitude, bearing temperatures, throughput and measured okara moisture, so the plant can verify the yield claim against its own material. The rotating assembly carries a 24-month warranty, wear parts 12 months, and Huading supports first commissioning with an on-site engineer or a structured remote session.
