Defatted soy milk is a different separation problem from standard soy milk. Because the lipid phase has been largely removed, the slurry no longer carries the fat that normally helps small particles agglomerate and settle, and fine solids stay suspended far longer. A machine set up for whole soy milk tends to pass those fines straight into the overflow, where they later settle in the finished package as sediment and shorten shelf life. Clarification, not dewatering, becomes the controlling duty.
The LWS470 is configured around that reality. The 470 mm bowl is run at 4,150 rpm for 4,300 G, the highest in this frame size, and the pond is set deep with an extended cylindrical settling section so fine particles have both the force and the time to reach the wall. A fine-tuned impeller keeps the overflow layer thin, which prevents the re-entrainment of already settled solids that causes visible haze. The result is a clarified soy base that stays homogeneous through pasteurisation and filling, with a clean flavour because the fine fiber fraction has been removed rather than merely dispersed.

The LWS470 is specified by plants producing low-fat and defatted soy base for beverages, by soy protein beverage manufacturers who need a clean, sediment-free product, and by dairy-alternative producers who blend defatted soy base with other plant materials. It is also used where a low-fat soy milk is required for clinical or infant nutrition formulations, where clarity and consistent composition matter more than raw throughput.
Secondary applications include clarification of other low-fat plant bases, such as oat and rice slurries, where fine starch and fiber particles resist settling, and polishing duties ahead of membrane filtration where even a small fines load would foul the membrane quickly. In each case the machine's role is the same: remove the fine fraction mechanically so downstream thermal and filtration steps can operate at their design efficiency.
Packaging & Quality AssuranceThe machine is supplied in a seaworthy steel-framed case with the bowl on transport supports, VCI film over machined surfaces and a desiccant charge inside a moisture-barrier liner. Documentation includes drawings, utility list, sample-point locations and a clarity verification procedure.
Testing includes dynamic balancing, a four-hour water run and a two-hour run on defatted soy base with sampled overflow solids. Warranty is 24 months on the rotating assembly and 12 months on wear parts. Huading provides start-up support and a half-day training session focused on pond depth adjustment and clarity verification, since those two skills determine whether the machine keeps meeting the low-solids specification over a full campaign.
