This simplified design offers cost-effective purchase and operation. Single motor drives are ideal for applications with constant solids volume, easy solids conveyance, and less stringent requirements for residual water content in solids. The input shaft is driven by the main motor via a secondary belt drive, generating differential speed as a function of bowl speed and gear transmission. Speed adjustments can be easily achieved by replacing belt pulleys.
Dual motor drives enable cost-effective differential speed regulation across wide operating ranges. The secondary motor drives the gear input shaft, generating differential speed based on bowl speed and gear transmission. Speed regulation is easily achieved by adjusting motor speed. This system is recommended for applications with significant solids volume fluctuations, challenging solids conveyance conditions, and stringent residual water content requirements.
The hydro drive system operates similarly to the dual motor drive but features a different design. Instead of mechanical gearing, a rotating hydraulic motor is installed and supplied with regulated hydraulic fluid from a pump unit. Since differential speed is proportional to oil flow rate, automatic regulation can be implemented without complications.
