Passion Fruit Juice Centrifugal Decanter Seed Fiber Removal Clarification LWS500

Passion fruit is deceptive. The juice itself is easy to clarify, but the stream carries hard black seeds and tough fibrous sacs that destroy pumps, block plate heat exchangers and score the seats of homogeniser valves within a single season. Presses and paddle finishers leave a large share of that load in the juice. The LWS500 decanter centrifuge removes it mechanically and continuously, at a capacity of 20 to 25 tonnes per hour, before the juice reaches any downstream equipment that could be damaged.

The 500 mm bowl runs at 3,800 rpm and develops 4,050 G. Seeds and coarse fiber are thrown outward and conveyed along the bowl wall to the conical beach, where they are ejected with a residual moisture low enough for them to be handled as a solid waste stream. The clarified juice overflows the adjustable weir with a suspended solids level that normally sits below 0,3 percent, which is the practical threshold for stable downstream filtration and for a bright, sediment-free finished product.

The LWS500 is the standard choice for passion fruit nectar and concentrate plants that receive whole fruit and must handle seeds in the same stream as the juice. It is also used on yellow passion fruit for flavour extraction, on mixed tropical blends where maracuya is combined with mango or guava, and on sour passion fruit streams for the confectionery and beverage concentrate trade.

In plants that install a membrane or a plate-and-frame polishing stage after separation, the decanter acts as the protective first barrier: by pulling the hard fraction out ahead of the filters, it extends membrane life and reduces cleaning frequency dramatically. Where the recovered seed and fiber is dried and sold as a fiber-rich ingredient, the low discharge moisture of the machine makes the subsequent drying step significantly cheaper per tonne.

The unit ships in a steel-framed seaworthy case with the bowl locked on transport supports, VCI film over all machined surfaces, and a moisture-barrier bag inside the case. Documentation includes a general arrangement drawing, a utility connection list, a spare-parts catalogue and a commissioning checklist.

Factory acceptance testing includes four hours on water and a two-hour run on passion fruit feed, with records of vibration, bearing temperature, capacity and overflow solids. Warranty is 24 months on the bowl and rotating assembly, 12 months on wear parts against manufacturing defects.
